The Process

Our hospitality design process is straightforward and flexible.

Briefing

At the start of the project we'll need some information about your type of business, its target markets, the competition and any other requirements for your logo. We also need to know how you use your logo and whether or not it will be used on banners, signs or even vans.

First Drafts

In most cases we'll send up to 4 mood board concepts, with style, logo, font and colour options. This is not 4 completely different logos but a range of options to show how the recommended colours, text and type styles might work together.

These concepts, along with all further drafts, will be sent to you in Adobe® PDF format by e-mail. You can get the free PDF reader here if you do not already have it on your computer.

Feedback

Once you've received the initial drafts, we need to know what you think. Your feedback needs to be as specific as possible to help us understand what it was about each concept that did or did not appeal to you.

Redrafts & Revisions

Once we receive your feedback we will make changes as requested. If we have interpreted your brief correctly we should not be far off a final version.

On the basis of the fixed-fee set up we cannot offer unlimited revisions, but one or two subsequent mood boards have so far proved sufficient.

The entire process can take up to four weeks from start to finish. It may be possible to speed up the process to meet an urgent deadline, although this could incur additional fees which would be agreed prior to commencing work.

Finalising

Once you have approved your final design, the artwork is prepared in a range of file types and sent to you via email for immediate use.

The files include:

  • EPS original vector artwork, for commercial print/production
  • JPG for your own internal use e.g. Office documents
  • GIF for online use (e.g. website, e-mails)
  • TIF bitmap artwork with no compression, high resolution
  • PDF for preview in Adobe Acrobat or hi-resolution PDF for the printer.

We also provide technical information such as fonts and colour references used in the design, usage instructions and a deed of transfer assigning ownership of the design to you.
